Nashville School District votes to hire new Head Junior Girls Basketball coach
Wednesday during a special called meeting that was conducted by the Nashville School Board, the board approved to accept the resignations of Krysta Parker as Junior High Principal, Mikayla Clift as Soccer Coach, Toni Bowman as special ed paraprofessional, Bret Burgess as Jr High Basketball coach and other coaching duties, Stacy Purnell as Vocational teacher at NHS, Kristen McJunkins for the Speech Therapy Contract, Brian Bearden for Coaching duties, Carmen Lingo as Math Teacher at NHS, Laken Hockaday as primary teacher, Eric Perez for Coaching duties, and Vickie Cook as the Trap Coach.
The board also approve to accept the employment of Magen Scrivner-Head Junior Girls Basketball/Head Sr High Girls Track/Asst Sr Girls Basketball coach and other duties as assigned, Bonnie Erby as custodian at Junior High, Shane Wilson as Secondary Math, Kelly Davis as #2 Secretary at High School, Kim Perez as Spanish and WorkKeys teacher at NHS, Paul Morrow as Teacher and Coach, and Heather Pennington as #2 secretary at NJHS.
Superintendent Doug Graham presented the contract from Edlio and explained what it entails.
After further discussion, there was a motion made by board members David Hilliard and seconded by Nick Britt to accept Graham’s recommendation and consider the agreement for the Edlio contract. All were in favor of the motion.
Additional motions that were approved were the Elior contract for year 4 out of their 5-year contract that has to be voted on yearly and the memorandum of understanding between the Nashville School Board and Hall of Fame steering committee which states that the Hall of Fame committee is a stand-alone entity and not governed by the school board.
