Nashville Scrapperettes and Scrappers Earn Conference Wins at DeQueen

The Nashville Scrapperettes and Scrappers traveled to DeQueen on Friday night to take on the Lady Leopards and Leopards, and both teams came away with conference victories.
In girls action, the Scrapperettes jumped out to an early lead, going up 18–4 in the first quarter. Nashville continued to build momentum and led 34–15 at halftime. The Scrapperettes stayed in control throughout the second half and secured a 69–42 win over the Lady Leopards. With the victory, Nashville improves to 16–3 overall and 1–0 in conference play.
In the boys game, the Scrappers held a 14–10 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 32–24 by halftime. DeQueen made a push in the second half, but Nashville held on for a 61–55 victory. The Scrappers are now 11–1 on the season and also open conference play at 1–0.
The Scrapperettes and Scrappers return home tonight to host the Hope Lady Bobcats and Bobcats. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., and B99.5 will provide live coverage.
