Howard County Launches New Mass Notification System Called Regroup

Yesterday, KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to speak with Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton about the launch of a new mass notification system designed to enhance community safety, known as Regroup.

During this portion of the interview, Judge Pinkerton began by discussing the history of CodeRED, the mass notification system that Howard County used last year.

Judge Pinkerton explained that the new Regroup system offers improved capabilities, including tools that allow officials to share critical information instantly and pinpoint specific areas of the county when an alert is issued.

Pinkerton also shared information on when and how residents can sign up to receive alerts through the Regroup system.

In addition, Judge Pinkerton emphasized why it is important for Howard County residents to register for the new system.
