Scrappers Prepare for Magnolia Matchup After Big Win Over Hope

Recently, we had the opportunity to speak with Scrappers Head Basketball Coach Aaron Worthen as the Scrappers prepare to take on this Friday’s opponent, the Magnolia Panthers.
The Scrappers are coming off an impressive 69–35 win over the Hope Bobcats on Tuesday night, improving their record to 12–1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
Despite the strong record, Worthen noted that maintaining focus can be challenging, especially when the team builds an early lead and allows opponents to close the gap on the scoreboard.
Looking ahead to Friday night, Worthen said the matchup against Magnolia will be a big test and emphasized that success will come down to a shift in mentality.
In other news, the Nashville Scrapperettes also picked up a dominant win Tuesday night, defeating the Lady Bobcats 67–21. The victory improves their record to 17–3 overall and 2–0 in conference play.
Both the Scrapperettes and Scrappers will be back in action at home Friday night as they take on the Magnolia Lady Panthers and Panthers. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m., and B99.5 will have live coverage of the games.
