Roof Collapse Reported at Barry’s Grocery in Hope

The roof of Barry’s Grocery Store in Hope collapsed at approximately 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, according to information reported by SWARK.Today.

The store was closed at the time of the collapse, and no injuries have been reported.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Hope Police Department, Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office, Hope Street Department, and Arkansas Department of Transportation personnel. As a result of the incident, the portion of South Hazel Street running alongside the store was closed to traffic.
