Dierks School Board Tables Decision on Football Facility Bid

The Dierks School Board held a specially called meeting yesterday to discuss bid options submitted by four contractors for the football facilities project.
During the meeting, board members expressed interest in accepting the lowest bid, totaling $1,107,542, submitted by Mascot Holdings, doing business as Fielders Choice. However, the board did not take action after it was discovered that the contractor’s license number was not included on the bid paperwork.
Because of the missing information, the board agreed to table the discussion while determining the legality and terms of the contract to ensure the district is fully protected moving forward.
The board will have 15 days to decide how to proceed once legal guidance is obtained and the contract details are clarified.
