Mine Creek–Paraclifta DAR to Host Free Genealogy 101 Workshop at Howard County Library

The Mine Creek–Paraclifta Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a free Genealogy 101 Workshop on Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at the Howard County Library.

Designed with beginners in mind, the session is open to anyone interested in exploring their family history — whether just starting out or simply curious about discovering their roots.

Participants will be introduced to essential genealogy tools, practical research tips and straightforward strategies for beginning their family history journey. The workshop will cover foundational steps such as organizing family information, locating historical records and building a basic family tree.

The event is open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
