Dierks Man Arrested on Drug Paraphernalia Charge After Traffic Stop Near Nashville High School

A Dierks man was arrested Sunday afternoon following a traffic stop near Nashville High School that led to the discovery of suspected drug paraphernalia.
According to the affidavit, Trooper Micah Brown was patrolling Mt. Pleasant Road around 1:35 p.m. on March 1st when he observed a blue Honda Civic with a cracked windshield traveling northbound.
Brown conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for unsafe and defective equipment. The driver was identified as 49-year-old Paul Eudy of Dierks.
After checking Eudy’s information through the ATLAS system, the trooper learned Eudy was on parole and had a search waiver on file. Eudy was asked to step out of the vehicle, and a search of the car was conducted.
During the search, Brown located a black zip-lock bag containing various pills that were later determined not to be narcotics. However, authorities also reported finding a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal-like substance, along with a black magnetic box that held a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine and several small zip-lock bags, some of which also contained a crystal-like substance.
Eudy was taken into custody and placed in the trooper’s patrol vehicle while a wrecker was requested for the car. Clint Tedford with the Nashville Police Department later transported Eudy to the Howard County Jail.
Eudy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine, heroine, or cocaine with purpose to deliver.
