HMH receiving second round of ARPA sustainability funds

On Tuesday evening, at Howard Memorial Hospital’s regular monthly meeting, CFO Bill Craig announced the receipt of the second round of ARPA sustainability funds amounting to $1,376,735.60 which appeared on the June financial report. Craig highlighted that this funding is a game-changer for the hospital, enhancing their cash reserves, days cash on hand, and supporting the capital budget for 2025.

Additionally, Craig noted that June saw strong cash collections nearing $2.4 million. He also mentioned ongoing work towards the 12-month benchmark and an upcoming strategic planning meeting in August.

COO Stacy Harberson reported her upcoming site visit to Chicago from August 25th to the 27th, where she will visit the University of Chicago Medical Center, the American College of Healthcare Executives Main Office, MATTER, and the American Hospital Association. Harberson further mentioned that a task force is organizing a celebration for September 20th to honor the hospital’s ranking in the top 100 and its 75th Anniversary.
