CITY OF MINERAL SPRINGS UNDER A BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR ENTIRE SYSTEM

The Arkansas Department of Health has immediately confirmed the boil water notice issued by Mineral Springs Waterworks for the entire system. The notice is due to the potential entry of contaminated water into the distribution system caused by an insufficient level of disinfectant. 
Customers affected are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption. Water intended for drinking or food preparation should be boiled vigorously for one minute before use. All ice cubes must be thrown away, and only water that has been boiled should be used for making ice. The boil water notice will stay in effect until the issue is resolved.
