Reckless Driving Call Leads to Drug Arrest in Nashville

A reported reckless driver on Highway 371 East led to the arrest of a Fouke man on drug-related charges, according to local authorities.
According to police records, Nashville Patrol Officer Jarrett Rogers responded to a call regarding a black tractor-trailer being driven erratically. Upon locating the vehicle entering Nashville, Officer Rogers observed it cross into the opposite lane twice, including one instance where it traveled halfway into the eastbound lane.
The officer initiated a traffic stop at a car wash on Mine Street. During the stop, the driver was identified as 43-year-old Steven Michael Feasel of Fouke. After being informed of the reason for the stop, Feasel reportedly told the officer he had been arguing with his wife and was searching for a place to rest.
Officer Rogers reportedly requested and received consent to search both Feasel’s person and the vehicle. During the search, authorities say a prescription pill bottle bearing Feasel’s name was found to contain a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. A section of a drinking straw with similar residue was also recovered.
Feasel was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Howard County Detention Facility. He is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance.
