Cooking for a Change Event Brings Asian-Inspired Flavors to Nevada County

The Nevada County Extension Office is inviting the community to take part in a unique culinary experience this month.
On April 13th, the office will host “Cooking for a Change,” an Asian-inspired event led by Nevada County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences, Sheila Ballard.
We spoke with Ballard, who began by explaining what inspired the event and why she wanted to bring this experience to the community.
Ballard also shared additional details about the event, including registration information and the fee to participate.
“Cooking for a Change” is expected to give participants a hands-on opportunity to learn new cooking techniques and explore different flavors they can recreate at home.
Organizers encourage those interested to sign up in advance.
Stay tuned for part two of our interview with Sheila Ballard, where she will discuss some of the recipes participants will have the opportunity to learn.
