Nashville Woman Killed in Friday Afternoon Highway Collision

A 50-year-old Nashville woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on Arkansas Highway 27, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.
Yolanda Hesslund died at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 2:22 p.m. on April 24, 2026.
Authorities reported that Hesslund was driving a 2006 Toyota northbound on Highway 27 when she attempted to make a left turn onto Arkansas 27B. During the maneuver, her vehicle was struck by a southbound 2003 Peterbilt truck.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision and was not identified in the report.
Weather conditions at the time of the crash included rainfall, and the roadway was wet, which may have been a contributing factor.
The incident was investigated by Arkansas State Police Cpl. Travis Hale.
