Nashville Junior Scrappers Dominate Arkadelphia in Convincing Victory

The Nashville Junior Scrappers showcased a commanding performance against the Arkadelphia Junior Badgers, securing a decisive 28-8 victory in their latest matchup.

The game began with Arkadelphia winning the coin toss and opting to receive the ball. However, Nashville quickly turned the tide when Gauge Applegate intercepted the Badgers’ opening drive, setting the stage for an explosive first quarter. Quarterback Jacoby Hopson led the charge, scoring the first touchdown for the Scrappers and successfully converting the extra point to make it 7-0.

Hopson followed up with another touchdown, again converting the extra point, extending the lead to 14-0.

As the second quarter unfolded, the Scrappers continued to apply pressure. Junior Scrapper Davion Gamble made another key defensive play, intercepting the ball and giving Nashville the momentum. Zee Beasley capitalized on this opportunity, scoring a touchdown, although the extra point attempt was unsuccessful, bringing the score to 20-0 at halftime.

The third quarter proved to be a defensive battle, with both teams struggling to find the end zone. The Badgers managed to recover a fumble, but Nashville’s Trendon Northcross intercepted a pass, stifling Arkadelphia’s efforts to gain traction.

Entering the fourth quarter, the Scrappers maintained their dominance. Blake Moody added to Nashville’s tally with a touchdown, bringing the score to 26-0.

Hopson then converted a two-point play, pushing the lead further. The Badgers finally found the scoreboard late in the game, but it was too little too late as the final whistle blew with the Scrappers securing a comfortable 28-8 win.

The Nashville Junior Scrappers currently hold a 3-2 record on the season and they are preparing to face the Fountain Lake Cobras this Thursday on their home turf. Kickoff is set for 7 PM, and fans can tune in to B99.5 for live coverage of the exciting matchup.
