Harvest Regional Food Bank to Bring Food to Hempstead County

Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute USDA food boxes on Wednesday, June 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., or until all boxes have been distributed, at the Fair Park Coliseum located at 800 Mockingbird Lane in Hope.

Recipients must first check in inside the Southwest District Livestock Show Coliseum building. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. After checking in, recipients should return to their vehicles and line up around the baseball field next to the coliseum. Volunteers will be available to assist with traffic flow and distribution.

The next mobile pantry distribution is scheduled for Sept. 2.

To receive assistance, recipients must provide an updated driver’s license or photo identification showing a current Hempstead County address. Proof of address is required.

Distribution is limited to one food box per household, with a maximum of two households allowed per vehicle.
