Little Rock Police Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run That Claimed Life of Former Saratoga Resident

The Little Rock Police Department is continuing to investigate a fatal hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a former Saratoga and Mineral Springs resident.

According to police, officers responded at approximately 2:24 a.m. on May 17 to a report of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in the 8200 block of I-30 Frontage Road.

The victim was identified as 62-year-old David Wayne King of Little Rock. Authorities said King died at the scene from his injuries. His family was notified after his identity was confirmed.

A patrol supervisor and accident reconstruction officers responded to process the scene, collect evidence, take photographs and document measurements as part of the investigation.

Police said no charges have been filed at this time as investigators continue a comprehensive review of the case.

The investigation remains ongoing.
