Howard County EHC to Host Fall Garage Sale; Nathan Volunteer Fire Department Announces BBQ Fundraiser

The Howard County Extension Homemakers Club (EHC) is excited to announce its annual Fall Garage Sale, taking place Friday, October 25, from 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday, October 26, from 8 AM to noon. The sale will feature a variety of household items, decorations, books, and more, offering a great opportunity for bargain hunters to find unique treasures.

The garage sale will be held at the Howard County Extension Center, located at 425 N 2nd Street.

In addition to the garage sale, the Nathan Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting its annual BBQ and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 26, at the Nathan Firehouse. The event will kick off at 5 PM, serving up a delicious menu that includes chicken, ribs, beans, potatoes, rolls, and homemade desserts, all for just $10 per plate. Dine-in and carry-out options will be available, and donations are welcomed.

Participants can also enter a raffle for a chance to win a Browning Bolt 7mm 08 rifle or a pallet of corn. Tickets are priced at $5 each or five tickets for $20.
