HMH meets sustainability goals for state

Tuesday night, the Howard Memorial Hospital Board of Directors met for their monthly meeting.

CFO Bill Craig reported the hospital had requested Upper Payment Limit monies from Arkansas Medicaid before their year-end on September 30th. He said HMH received $336,678 on September 20th.

Craig reported the average daily census and the swing bed volume was above budget for the month of September.

Craig also informed the board that the hospital’s operating costs were below budget by $78,852 and that salaries and benefits were running below budget for the year.

Craig also stated the hospital had met their 12-month sustainability goals and he will be meeting the consultants in November to review the hospital’s financial statements.

The board heard from their Edward Jones Financial consultant Josh Tice and voted to maintain the hospital’s existing Investment Strategy Policy.
