Nashville Woman Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

A 44-year-old Nashville woman was arrested following a welfare check on a vehicle parked at a residence on Sandhill Road on May 31.

According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Brandon Smith requested assistance from Nashville Police officers David Shelby and Joshua Dorse after a 911 caller reported a gray car had been parked in a driveway for approximately two hours.

Officer Dorse made contact with the driver, identified as Holly Watts, and reportedly observed an open alcoholic beverage container and detected the odor of intoxicants. After Watts allegedly admitted to drinking, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and reportedly found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana-related items, THC vape products and drug paraphernalia.

Watts was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail. During the booking process, jail staff reportedly discovered a bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine concealed on her person.

Watts was charged with possession of methamphetamine or cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, drinking in public and furnishing prohibited articles.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
