New Nashville Junior High Girls Basketball Coach Looks to Build Strong Foundation

Nashville Junior High’s new Head Girls Basketball Coach is preparing for her first season on the sidelines while bringing a lifelong passion for the game to the program.

Clara Prater, a graduate of Vilonia High School, recently earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Science from Arkansas Tech University. Prater said basketball has played a major role in her life and inspired her to pursue coaching at the junior high level.
As a former college athlete, Prater said her playing experience has helped prepare her for the challenges of coaching and has shown her the importance of serving as a positive role model for young athletes.
Prater said one of her primary goals is to establish a strong foundation for the program and help her players develop both on and off the court.
As she begins her coaching career in Nashville, Prater encouraged student-athletes to stay committed to learning and growth. Among the advice she offered was the importance of being coachable and maintaining a positive attitude.

Prater will begin her first season as Head Nashville Junior High Girls Basketball Coach during the upcoming school year.
