Center Point Homecoming Set for July 3-5; Organizers Celebrate Community Heritage

Families and former residents of the Center Point community are preparing to gather for the annual Center Point Homecoming, which will be held July 3-5.
This year’s theme, “Then, Now, Always,” celebrates the rich history and lasting traditions of the Center Point community. Festivities will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 5.
KMTB and KNAS recently spoke with Kimberly Dunham and Jerry Boles, who both have deep family roots in the Center Point community. In today’s feature, Dunham shared what the annual Homecoming means to those who return each year.
Dunham also reflected on her family’s history in Center Point and the generations that have called the community home.
She said serving on the Homecoming planning committee has become a meaningful part of her life and that helping organize the event is a way to preserve the community’s traditions for future generations.
Before wrapping up the interview, Dunham shared where this year’s festivities will take place.
Stay tuned throughout the week as we’ll hear from Jerry Boles, who will share more about his family’s roots in Center Point and discuss a special activity planned as part of this year’s Homecoming celebration.
