Nashville School Board Approves Coaching Consultant Contract, Classified Staff Raises

The Nashville School Board approved several personnel and compensation items during a special called meeting Monday.

Board members approved a contract with Buddy Ray to serve as a coaching consultant for up to 100 days at a rate of $75 per day, with the total cost not to exceed $7,500.

The board also approved a 2 percent pay raise for all classified staff and bus drivers by adjusting the district’s salary schedule and indexes.

A proposed policy addressing teacher absences was tabled and will be discussed further with the district’s Personnel Policies Committee before being brought back to the board for consideration.
