Center Point Homecoming Continues to Honor Community’s Rich History

As anticipation builds for the annual Center Point Homecoming, longtime community member Jerry Boles is reflecting on the area’s rich heritage and inviting everyone to take part in this weekend’s celebration.
The annual Homecoming will be held July 3-5 and brings together families, former residents, and friends to celebrate the history and traditions of the Center Point community.
During an interview with KMTB and KNAS, Boles shared that his family’s roots in Center Point date back to the 1800s, with both his father and grandparents growing up in the community.
Boles also took time to remember his Aunt Lou and shared one of his favorite memories of her.
He discussed several activities planned for this year’s Homecoming, including a special program scheduled for Saturday, July 4, along with other events taking place throughout the weekend.
Boles also highlighted a special tribute organizers are planning to include as part of this year’s celebration.
In closing, Boles noted that many people with roots in the Center Point community have gone on to achieve success in a variety of fields. He encouraged former residents, descendants, and anyone interested in the community’s history to attend this year’s Homecoming festivities.
