Brookshire’s Announces Closure of Ashdown Store

The Brookshire’s grocery store in Ashdown will close later this month, according to an announcement from Brookshire Grocery Company Interim CEO Jerry LeClair.
In a letter to customers, LeClair said the decision to close the store came after a careful evaluation and was not made lightly.
The Ashdown location is expected to remain open through July 24, or until inventory is depleted, as the company begins a storewide sell-down process. Brookshire’s also plans to announce special closing sales in the coming weeks.
Despite the closure, the company said customers will still be able to redeem any remaining fuel points at other Brookshire Grocery Company store locations.
LeClair said all employee-partners at the Ashdown store have been offered continued employment at neighboring Brookshire’s locations.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Ashdown community and sincerely appreciate the customers who have supported this store over the years,” LeClair said in the announcement.
Brookshire Grocery Company said it remains committed to serving customers at its nearby stores and will continue supporting the communities it serves through quality products, friendly service and local involvement.
