UA Cossatot, UA-Monticello Sign Agreement to Expand Bachelor’s Degree Opportunities

Rotarians got a firsthand look at a new educational partnership Wednesday during the weekly Nashville Rotary Club meeting as UA Cossatot and UA-Monticello officially signed an academic agreement aimed at expanding opportunities for local students.
The agreement will allow UA Cossatot students to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UA-Monticello while taking classes on the UA Cossatot campus and online.

UA Cossatot Chancellor Dr. Steve Cole and UA-Monticello Chancellor Dr. Peggy Doss signed the campus-to-campus agreement during the meeting. Cole said the partnership is just one of several major developments on the horizon for the Nashville campus.
Cole said the agreement will provide new opportunities for students across the UA Cossatot system by making it easier to continue their education without leaving the area.
Doss said the partnership will enable local students to complete their bachelor’s degree while remaining close to home.
She added that the agreement not only expands access to higher education but also makes earning a four-year degree more affordable. Eligible transfer students will receive a $3,000 Colts Transfer Scholarship each semester they attend UA-Monticello.
Cole said the transfer process will be streamlined through UA-Monticello’s system, making it easier for students to transition into the bachelor’s degree program. He also expressed hope that the agreement will pave the way for additional partnerships in the future.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration pathway at UA Cossatot, have completed at least 55 credit hours, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
