Arkansas Families of Fallen Officers Launches Mid-Year Fund Drive

The Arkansas Families of Fallen Officers has launched its mid-year fundraising campaign to continue providing financial assistance to the families of Arkansas law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
The Nashville-based organization is a State of Arkansas-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves law enforcement agencies across the entire state. All donations are tax-deductible and help support the organization’s mission of assisting the families of officers who make the ultimate sacrifice while serving their communities.
The group’s primary goal is to provide a $5,000 donation to the family of any Arkansas law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty who leaves behind school-age children. When funding allows, the organization also provides $500 grants to officers recovering from line-of-duty injuries.
According to the organization, Arkansas has lost 12 law enforcement officers in the line of duty over the past five years. The most recent was Officer Trevor Howard of the Marked Tree Police Department.
Arkansas Families of Fallen Officers is asking individuals, businesses and community organizations to support the campaign so the nonprofit will be prepared to assist future families facing the loss of a loved one in the line of duty.
