Little Rock Man Charged with Theft Following Alleged Shoplifting Incident at Nashville Walmart

A Little Rock man was arrested following an alleged shoplifting incident at the Nashville Walmart on July 7.
According to the Nashville Police Department, Officer Rebecca Castleman responded to Walmart after receiving a report of shoplifting while the suspect was still at the store. Asset Protection Manager Jake Lowery reported that 31-year-old Dustin Scott of Little Rock was observed leaving the store without paying for multiple items.
Officers made contact with Scott in the parking lot, where the stolen merchandise was recovered.
Police said a records check revealed Scott had previously been trespassed from Walmart and had a prior theft conviction in 2021.
Scott was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail, where he was charged with theft of property.
The allegations are based on information contained in law enforcement reports and court records. Scott is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
