Mayor Dunaway Provides Update on Nashville Infrastructure Projects

Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway sat down with us Wednesday to provide an update on several infrastructure projects taking place throughout the city.

Mayor Dunaway said the completion of improvements at the city’s water plant has been a major accomplishment and a significant relief for the city. He noted that while the project required adjustments along the way, officials worked through the challenges to get the job done.

Dunaway said weather continues to be one of the biggest factors affecting construction timelines, explaining that conditions can have a major impact on the progress of city projects.

The mayor also shared an update on the city’s water tower project, discussing the work that has been completed and the progress that has been made so far.

Looking ahead, Dunaway said the city is preparing to seek bids for its upcoming sidewalk project. The project will be funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program, or TAP, and is expected to get underway later this summer.

That was this week’s Moment with Mayor Dunaway.
