Brad Chesshir Coaches Show Kicks Off Ahead of Season Opener

With Zero Week underway, the Nashville Scrappers are putting the finishing touches on preparations for the 2026 football season. Along with the start of the new season comes the return of the Brad Chesshir Coaches Show.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to speak with Nashville Scrapper Head Football Coach Brad Chesshir, who began the conversation by reflecting on the Scrappers’ journey since last January.

Chesshir then provided a breakdown of the Scrappers’ summer, including the team’s work in 7-on-7 competitions and team camps as Nashville continued to prepare for the upcoming season.

The Scrapper head coach also took time to discuss last week’s scrimmage against Lakeside, giving his assessment of the team’s performance and the areas that stood out to him.

Chesshir went on to address some of the mistakes the Scrappers made defensively during the scrimmage, highlighting areas the team will need to clean up before Friday night.

Beyond correcting mistakes, Chesshir emphasized the importance of players understanding and meeting the standard expected of them as members of the Nashville football program.

That standard is part of what Chesshir refers to as doing things “The Scrapper Way,” a mindset that will be important as Nashville begins its quest for another successful season.

Nashville will open the 2026 season this Friday when the Scrappers take on the Bismark Lions.

Stay tuned for more from the Brad Chesshir Coaches Show, as Coach Chesshir looks ahead to Friday’s season opener and talks about what the Scrappers can expect when they take the field against Bismark.
