Harvest Regional Food Bank to Distribute USDA Food Boxes to Hempstead County Residents

Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute TEFAP USDA Food Boxes to Hempstead County residents on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The food boxes will be distributed directly from the Harvest Regional Food Bank truck from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., or until all boxes have been distributed. The truck will be located at the Fair Park Coliseum, 800 S. Mockingbird Lane in Hope.

Recipients are asked to arrive early. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. inside the Southwest District Livestock Show Coliseum building. After checking in, recipients will return to their vehicles and proceed to the designated line around the baseball field next to the coliseum. Volunteers will be available to assist with the process.

Recipients must bring an updated driver’s license showing their current address or photo identification verifying that they are a Hempstead County resident. Proof of address is also required.

Distribution is limited to one box per household, with a maximum of two households per vehicle.

Harvest Regional Food Bank’s next Mobile Pantry distribution in the area is scheduled for December 16, 2026.
