Scrapperettes Dominate Lady Panthers in Conference Victory
The Nashville Scrapperettes had an impressive showing Friday night, defeating the Magnolia Lady Panthers in a decisive conference matchup.
By the end of the first quarter, the Scrapperettes had already built a commanding lead, 13 to 0. The Lady Panthers managed to score 6 points, but Nashville maintained control, finishing the first half with a dominant 35 to 6 lead.
The Scrapperettes continued to dominate in the second half, cruising to a final score of 49 to 11. Junior Angel Watson was named Player of the Game after leading the charge with 13 points.
With the win, the Scrapperettes improved to 14-6 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with a perfect 3-0 record.
In boys’ action, the Nashville Scrappers faced a tough challenge against the Magnolia Panthers. At the end of the first half, the Panthers held a 34-20 lead. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Scrappers were ultimately defeated with a final score of 82-46.
With the loss, the Scrappers’ record stands at 9-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Next up for the Scrapperettes is a non-conference matchup against the Lakeside Lady Rams. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM tonight.
