Howard County Clerk Teague Outlines Early Voting, Election Day Procedures
Howard County Clerk Keri Teague was the guest speaker at last week’s Nashville Rotary Club meeting, where she provided Rotarians with information about the upcoming election, including early voting dates, locations and Election Day procedures.
Teague said early voting will begin Monday, October 19, and continue through Monday, November 2. During the early voting period, the only voting center open will be the Carter Day Center in Nashville.
Early voting hours will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The center will also be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, and Saturday, October 31.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Howard County will have four voting centers open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The locations are:
- Carter Day Center in Nashville
- Umpire Community Building
- Mineral Springs Methodist Church
- Dierks Community Building
Teague reminded Rotarians that any registered voter in Howard County may cast their ballot at any of the four voting centers on Election Day.
If a runoff election is necessary, it will be held Tuesday, December 1. Early voting for the runoff will take place the preceding week, from November 23 through November 30.
Teague also reminded residents that Monday, October 5, is the deadline to register to vote in the election.
