Changes to Rural Trash Pickup Days in Howard County Starting March 3rd
Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton recently announced via Facebook that several changes will be taking place in the county’s rural trash pickup schedule starting the week of March 3rd.
The changes will impact areas served by Howard County’s rural trash pickup. Residents living in certain areas will see their pickup day moved to Wednesday, including those in locations such as Dierks Lake Road, Thomas Lane, all roads in the Kolbtown area, Highway 70 West from Dierks to the Sevier County Line, Mountain Mist, Walters Avenue, Old Highway 70, and Thirty Thousand Road.
Additionally, all customers who currently receive Friday pickup in rural areas of Howard County will now have their trash picked up on Thursdays, effective March 3rd.
These adjustments come as part of a shift to a new four-day workweek for the Howard County Road & Sanitation crews, which will begin on March 3rd.
For any questions or concerns about these changes, residents are encouraged to contact the Howard County office at 870-845-7500. The announcement is also being sent to CodeRed subscribers and shared with local media for wider distribution.
Residents are advised to stay informed of the changes to ensure their trash is picked up on the new schedule.
