Chesshir Reflects on Scrappers’ Performance Against Panthers

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to speak with Scrapper head football coach Brad Chesshir about his team’s overall performance in last Friday’s matchup against the Ashdown Panthers.

Chesshir said he felt the Scrappers struggled to find their rhythm in the first half and emphasized the need for improvement moving forward.

Chesshir also noted that this was the first week the Scrappers faced adversity offensively, giving the team an opportunity to learn and grow as the season progresses.

While the offense faced challenges, Chesshir said the Scrappers’ defense stepped up against the Panthers, helping the team compete throughout the contest.

Beyond the team’s on-field performance, Chesshir also spoke about the bond he shares with his players, saying that relationship is something people on the outside may not fully understand.

We’ll hear more from Chesshir later this week as he discusses the Scrappers’ next opponent, the Hope Bobcats, and what the team needs to do to prepare for its upcoming matchup.
