According to Westfall, the district used the grant funds to recognize students who won the district’s Red Ribbon Week contests. Each winning student received a Red Ribbon Week gift bag filled with goodies, along with a $25 gift card.

Winners of the high school essay contest were Brittney Cooper, Jordyn Piggee, Namicka Green and Kailey Thomas.
