Nashville School Board Recognizes High-Performing Teachers, Approves Key Proposals
The Nashville School Board held their regular monthly meeting Monday evening, highlighting academic success and approving several items related to the upcoming school year.
During the meeting, Assistant Superintendent Tate Gordon took time to recognize outstanding teachers across the district who achieved significant student growth on state-mandated assessments.
The first group of teachers honored had an average of 80 percent or higher on state tests over the past three years.
Gordon then acknowledged a second group of educators who posted 80 percent or higher growth for the 2024–2025 school year alone.
Finally, five teachers were given special recognition for achieving the highest student growth scores in the district for this school year’s state assessments.
In addition to the recognitions, the board approved a student accident insurance proposal through JTS Financial/EBI in the amount of $29,900 for the Nashville School District. The board also approved the district’s 2025–2026 Assurances and GEPA Statement, as well as building improvement plans for all four campuses.
The meeting showcased both the district’s commitment to academic excellence and continued investment in student safety and campus development.
