Dierks Schools Address Coronavirus Concerns
Area school officials say they are working with the State Education Department and Arkansas Health Department to monitor the Coronavirus.
In a letter to parents, Dierks Superintendent Jody Cowart said the virus poses no threat to Dierks students but the district is taking precautions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus as well as flu and the common cold.
Cowart said district personnel are cleaning and routinely disinfecting the school.
He also encourages parents to work with their children by allowing them to stay home if they’re sick.
Cowart said student wellness is a top priority of the Dierks School District.
