Candidate Filings for Upcoming Municipal Elections
The filing period ended this week for several elected municipal positions. In Howard County, information provided by the county clerk’s office, lists candidates for the Dierks City Council as John Sharp and Kevin Dinger in Ward One, Roddy Smith for Alderman in Ward Two, and Bobby Neal for Ward Three.
The county clerk’s office says the Tollette filings included Lois Hendrix as Alderman in Ward Two & James Porter for Alderman Ward 5.
The only filing in Mineral Springs reported this week is Martha Forte as city council member in Ward Four.
In Pike County, the clerk’s office says municipal filings for the city of Murfreesboro included Penny Lamb as Recorder/Treasurer. City council filings included Mark Barnes for North Ward Position One, Jack Bonds–North Ward Position Two, Lewis Gills–South Ward Position One, Betty Jane O’neal–West Ward Position One, and two people filed for the West Ward Position Two Seat. These candidates are James “Cody” Bachmann and Misty Wilson.
The city of Glenwood filings by the deadline this week included Bridgette Moore for Recorder/Treasurer, and the city council filings featured Jimmy Clark–North Ward Position One and Alan Ray Moore for the South Ward Position One seat.
In Delight, the city council filings included Randy Abbott for Position One, Valerie Wingfield and Mike Gilliam each filed for Delight City Council Position Two. Chris Goodson filed for Position Three, and Keith Woods filed for the Delight City Council Position Five Seat.
In the town of Daisy, the city council seat filings included Linda Hughes Hill for Position One, Rebecca Frazier filed for Position Two. There are two candidates, including Angelina Gammon and Douglas E. Cochran, who filed for the Daisy council Position Four seat, and Helen Frazier filed for the Position Five spot.
There were no filings from the city of Antoine by the week’s deadline.
