City of Nashville Owes $19,000 to APREMA

The city of Nashville is being required to pay more than $19,000 dollars to the Arkansas Public Entities Risk Management Association for pending claims. The insurance provider, commonly referred to as APERMA, announced early this year that they would be shutting down their operations. Several cities and counties in Arkansas used the company. for insurance on buildings, vehicles and contents. The $19,000 dollars owed by Nashville is for pending claims the insurance company is trying to wrap up. Mayor Billy Ray Jones said the city is still waiting for all its claims relating to the July 2019 flash flood event to be completed. Mayor Jones said he authorized a $9,000 dollar payment to the company this week. The city’s remaining portion will be paid from next year’s budget
Howard County also used APERMA..and like the city….has outstanding claims and is being required to pay $23,000 dollars to the insurance provider.
