City of Dierks receives grant for water and sewer project

Dierks city officials will sign paperwork Friday to receive their $199,825 state grant for water and sewer project improvements. Mayor Ronnie Cogburn said he will complete the action Friday afternoon at one o’clock. The city plans to use the grant for a new curtain at the sewer plant and making repairs on water lines crossing Holly Creek, and two other creeks in the city. The items were damaged by floodwaters over the past couple years.
