Arkansas COVID-19 cases over 100,000
Arkansas reached a milestone yesterday with COVID-19 cases going over 100,000 total for the state since the virus was reported back in the spring. In Howard County, the cumulative case count & total number of recoveries both exceeded 500 in recent days. At the present time, the Arkansas Department of Health is showing Howard County with 26 active cases. There have now been 13 deaths attributed to the virus locally.
In neighboring counties, Hempstead County continues to report the most active COVID-19 cases, with 57. They are followed by 45 in Sevier County, 36 in Polk county. Little River County has 19 and Pike County has 9 active cases of COVID-19, according to the health department.
