Take a First Day Hike Jan. 1

With New Year’s Day only a week away, the Arkansas State Parks system is encouraging residents to enjoy the beauty of the state by taking a first day hike to begin the new year. Unlike past years, there will be no guided hikes offered at any state park. However, residents may still do a hike on their own.
Because of Covid-19, when visiting a state park, you will need to social distance and wear a mask inside any state park facility.
The state is inviting the public to log on it its website and record the distance you complete when participating in one of the first day hikes.
