Dr. Cole give local Rotarians update on UA Cossatot
Dr. Steve Cole of UA Cossatot was the guest speaker at the Nashville Rotary Club this week.
Cole reported Cossatot has a budget of $10.8 million with 35 percent coming from the state, 35 percent from tutition and fees and 30 percent from a local sales tax. He said 72 percent of the college’s budget is spent on labor and is the 3rd smallest budget for a college or university in state.
Cole said UA Cossatot offers 12 Associate Degrees and awarded 454 credentials last May. He said the fall enrollment was down 8 percent and down 3.2 percent this spring.
Cole said Cossatot reported 49 confirmed cases of COVID, included students and employees. As of today, 72 Cossatot employees have been vaccinated.
Cole also discussed how UA Cossatot is involved in the communities it serves.
