McKee named interim police chief in Dierks

Dierks Assistant Police Chief John McKee has been appointed to the department’s top position on an interim basis. Mayor Ronnie Cogburn announced the appointment yesterday, following the resignation of Brian White. The former chief’s resignation came after he was arrested Easter Sunday by the Arkansas State Police on suspicion of Drunk Driving
White has been employed with the Dierks Police Department since 1987. He served as a patrol officer, until being named the police chief in 1993.
