A Change to Arkansas license plates

With the start of a new year, area motorists will be seeing some new license plates. Sometime during the first quarter of 2021, the state is expected to run out of combinations for letters & numbers. The long standing practice of having vehicle license plates that include 3 letters and 3 numbers will be changing. The new plats will include three letters, two numbers, followed by another letter.
The new combination is expected to last motorists for up to twenty years.
