A moment with Mayor Dunaway part 2

Tuesday, KMTB and KNAS recently had a discussion with Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway about what was on the agenda at the Nashville City Council’s monthly meeting. In part two of our discussion Dunaway stated the next big thing that is coming up is the water plant expansion project.

Dunaway stated that they are having to upgrade due to the demand of Tyson’s Food.

Last month the Nashville City Council approved an ordinance to accept a water and sewer rate study in compliance with act 605 that was presented by Mayor Dunaway, and this would allow them to not only meet the demand of the expansion at Tyson but allow Tyson to move forward with their project.

Dunaway said this is not only just for the city of Nashville but hundreds of farms and residents out in the county that rural water covers that depend on them as well.

Dunaway even mentioned that he’s been attending meetings to prepare for the eclipse that will take place in April of next year.

Dunaway also took a moment to inform the public to check out the light display at the Nashville City Park.
