ABA Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Arkansas Broadcasters Association (ABA) has proudly announced the distinguished 2025 class of inductees to the ABA Hall of Fame. These individuals, recognized for their outstanding contributions to broadcasting and their communities, will be honored at the Hall of Fame Banquet during the ABA Convention this fall. The banquet will take place on Monday, September 15.
This year’s inductees include:

Jay Bunyard, owner of Bunyard Broadcasting, which operates stations in several Arkansas communities. With more than 30 years in broadcasting, Bunyard began his career with the purchase of KDQN in DeQueen. A past president of the ABA, he currently serves as president of the Arkansas Broadcasters PAC and is an active ABA Board member. Bunyard is also known for his involvement in community health initiatives and civic organizations throughout the state.
Sid King, a longtime broadcaster from Clinton, Arkansas, whose voice and leadership have been a staple in Arkansas media for decades.
Bob Knight (posthumously), former ABA president and respected broadcaster from Mountain Home, remembered for his leadership and legacy in Arkansas broadcasting.
Tom Nichols, owner and operator of KVRE Radio in Hot Springs Village, recognized for his dedication to local radio and community service.
Ed Buckner (posthumously), former chief meteorologist at THV11 in Little Rock, whose trusted weather reporting and public presence left a lasting impact on viewers across the state.
The ABA extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Hall of Fame Committee, which carefully reviewed all nominations and selected this remarkable group of honorees.
