AGFC – Triple Trophy, Lifetime License, & 1st Time Certificates

For those in Zone 13 the modern gun deer season continues through December 19th. Giving hunters approximately 9 days to finish filling out those tags. The season will re-open the 26th-28th for one last chance for the modern gun season – and if you prefer archery that season remains open through the end of February.

If you manage to spend a tag on all 3 means of hunting being archery, muzzleloader, and modern gun the AGFC will provide you with the Triple Trophy Award for your multi-talented efforts in the form of a certificate suitable for framing and a patch to place on your hunting vest or jacket.

For those lucky enough to simply claim their 1st ever you also can enjoy a certificate which can be downloaded from the AGFC website. Also available are certificates for one’s first dove, duck, fish, and small game harvest.

After finding the 1st confirmed case of Chronic Wasting Disease in South Arkansas’ Whitetail population the AGFC is promoting the option to have your deer tested at many of their available drop off sites or by contacting a participating taxidermist. If dropped off at one of the available freezers placed by the AGFC and marked with your contact information the AGFC says you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a lifetime hunting an fishing license. This drawing will take place after the archery season ends.

In a win win situation a few lucky hunters will enjoy what the natural state has to offer all while providing scientists valuable information on a disease harmful to our whitetail population.
