Another COVD-19 Case Confirmed In Sevier County

An industry in southwest Arkansas has received notification this week that one of their employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Arkansas Department of Health sent the notification Monday to Pilgrim’s Pride in De Queen.

Plant officials said the individual has been off work and is in isolation. Additional employees who came in contact with the positive case are in self quarantine for the 14 day period even though they weren’t showing any symptoms of the virus.

Company officials say plant operations will continue and numerous steps have been taken to ensure the safety of all workers.
