NHS band earns Superior rating at concert band assessment; going to state

The Nashville High School concert band has qualified for the state concert band assessment after scoring all 1s during the regional concert band assessment at Hope High School this week.

Nashville High School band director Cody Ford stated he was proud of both the junior and senior bands. He said not only is the high school band competing in the state concert assessment in Bentonville but they also have a chance to earn a Sweepstakes Award.

Ford said the Scrapper band programs will be holding an elementary school recruitment concert on Friday and an instrument tryout on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.

The high school band will also be performing this afternoon at the community pep rally in Scrapper Arena at 5 pm for the Scrapperette basketball team
